We Need A No Electronic Devices Light, Not No Smoking Lights, On Airplanes

I posted this once before on the SEW Blog, but it's annoying me once again -- the no smoking lights on airplanes. Why do any airplanes still have these, and can't they change them into what they really should be, a "No Electronic Devices" light?

I'm always waiting to know when I can light up -- my laptop, that is. Usually, this is when the seatbelt light goes off. But while it goes out, the no smoking light stays on.

Of course it stays on. No airline I know of allows smoking any more and hasn't for ages. Why do they even put these lights into new planes?

Instead, I want that light with a cigarette with a slash icon replaced by a laptop, an iPod or something electronic with a slash through it. When it's safe for us with switch on, switch the light off, and we'll know!
