Looking Inside & Upgrading A Sky HD Box
I upgraded my old Sky+ box ages ago. The warranty had expired, and plenty of people (along with magazines) had documented how to do it. I pulled the old hard drive, put in a bigger one and never looked back.
Eventually, I'm sure I'll do the same with my Sky HD box. After all, 160GB won't cover much with HD gobbling up space. But skibum over at AV Forums has already done so. Amazing!
Here's a thread covering what he did, and here's a separate slide show of the guts inside. Warning -- this voids your warranty, as this picture makes clear.
