I don’t mind you pointing out the real junk and I know there is no direct link on your site. I guess it’s a service to those who expect some value from those sites to let them know not to bother.

The question is not knowing good writing when you see it as that’s pretty easy and most “publishers” can recognize it. Mine is how do you find good writers that balance turning out great copy and not just good copy to feed the search machine. You know, copy that sells without selling, that gets found without keyword salting.

I can find lots of adequate writers that couldn’t sell ice to Panamanians in the summer. You know the type of flat, keyword rich drivel that’s everywhere from dime a dozen writers. I can also find some that know how to go over the top with target keywords and exaggerate the message. It’s the balance that’s hard to get.

I need a lot of copy to feed the machine, but need the balance of keyword copy and exciting and interesting copy that is not hyperbole. Those writers are hard to find. I thought I might provoke you into providing a treasure map.

They’re not getting any juice out of this, trust me. There’s no actual linkage to them. Someone might read this post, copy and paste the URLs for these services and then — if they are completely stupid — actually purchase something from one of them. I think that’s really farfetched.

Far more like, someone’s going to reach one of these services another way and wonder about them. So they’ll do something like search for them by their domain names to see if there are any people discussing them. This page has a chance of showing up for that.

It’s always a debate whether to actually mention someone doing crappy stuff from the “any publicity is good publicity” point of view. I usually follow that rule and don’t give any mention at all. But in this case, I felt it was worthwhile and made sense.

I also find it surprising you would give all these awful sites any juice at all by mentioning their full domain names. From their point of view, even bad pr can give them some lift. Nice work.

I think I’ve just found myself a new past time. It’s actually really hard to write like that and I’m not even a full time Essay Writer. Maybe its a case of being so good that they can get away with it. Like Picasso.
