Ah, the things we do for love! I guessed as much. Well, I’m sure you’ll come back to visit as often as you can. At this point in my life they’d have to tear me away from the warm sunshine at gunpoint. I tried a winter in the mountains here and found out real fast how much I hate the cold!

Seriously, it was really strange to be in Palm Springs, 100 miles east of you, and have clear blue skies and gorgeous weather while all of that was going on. The wind was blowing it all west and out to sea. We had a lot of folks from the coast in hotels here waiting to find out if they had a home to return to. I’m sure it helped a little to have the pool and sun, but tense nonetheless.
We had folks calling from all over the country checking on us because it was all that was on the news. We were nestled safe in the arms of the San Jacinto mountains.
By the way, I can tell you absolutely love Orange County. I’m sure a lot of people are like me and curious about what led you to rainy, cold, merry old England?
