But Wait, There’s No More

As a kid, those Ginsu knife
commercials fascinated me. Think you’re only getting the knife? "But Wait,
There’s More!" And the guy who wrote those words and many other infomercials,
Arthur Schiff, has passed away. Direct Magazine has
more. Rest In Peace.

Sorry to hear about Arthur Schiff, but then again, I’d never known his name until now. But I will never forget my favorite line from the Ginsu commercials of my youth: How’s that for a clever cleaver? (referring to the meat cleaver with a meat tenderizer on the back).
In terms of advertising, Schiff was clearly an innovator. And, much more entertaining than “HeadOn – Apply Directly to Your Forehead”.

Thinking of dropping your link spam? Consider this. Seriously, STOP & READ. The guy who runs Google's spam fighting team? I know him pretty well. In fact, it's sort of a joke between us to see what's the latest absurd link drop I can share. So if you want your site to be a poster child on his idiots wall -- and probably to encounter a Google penalty -- go ahead, drop your link. It's nofollow anyway, plus I do have built-in spam fighting and what gets past that usually gets nabbed in a few minutes to a few hours. So you got to ask yourself. Are you feeling lucky?
