Google Gingerbread Man

My boys love gingerbread men, usually from
Reeves, so I was thrilled
that Google was handing their own out to people leaving the Google party during last week’s
SES Chicago show. By the time I got back to the hotel, all the ones in my coat
pocket had been smashed to bits. But
Elisabeth saved
me, providing me with two unbroken ones to bring back home. Thanks, Elis! One’s been eaten and
this little guy above probably doesn’t have much time left. Maybe he can find safety
in the Google
Checkout gingerbread house
. Is it me, or does he resemble Mr. Bill? What’s
he afraid of? Spam? Clickfraud? Milk?

Thinking of dropping your link spam? Consider this. Seriously, STOP & READ. The guy who runs Google's spam fighting team? I know him pretty well. In fact, it's sort of a joke between us to see what's the latest absurd link drop I can share. So if you want your site to be a poster child on his idiots wall -- and probably to encounter a Google penalty -- go ahead, drop your link. It's nofollow anyway, plus I do have built-in spam fighting and what gets past that usually gets nabbed in a few minutes to a few hours. So you got to ask yourself. Are you feeling lucky?
