My My Yahoo Is Broken :(

in Blogs & Feeds

So I spent some time getting a new page together listing all the feeds at
Search Engine Land, complete with all
the little icons for various readers that
FeedBurner
makes it easy to assemble. Then I think hmm, better test to see
if these actually work. The My Yahoo button is one of the most important,
because I know from experience how much traffic it can drive. I click, and I get
a blank page. Grrr. I’ve somehow gotten the coding wrong. So I head over to the
instructions at Yahoo and
carefully use the maker there. I upload the changes, click and grrr — blank
page. Now I try manually adding the URL. Grr, blank page. So then I shut down my
firewall and sacrifice a virtual chicken in my mind, since it would be cruel to
that in real life. Grr, blank page! So I message Barry Schwartz and have him try.
Blank page for trying to subscribe Search Engine Land or Search Engine
Roundtable, his own blog. I’m assuming something’s not working correctly over
there. Anyone else? Yahoo, pretty please, fix it!

It works fine for me. Did you find a work around?

It’s working for me also. Might it be a browser cache corruption issue at your end?

I was having the same problem using IE 7.0. I switched to firefox 2.0 and all is well.

Thinking of dropping your link spam? Consider this. Seriously, STOP & READ. The guy who runs Google's spam fighting team? I know him pretty well. In fact, it's sort of a joke between us to see what's the latest absurd link drop I can share. So if you want your site to be a poster child on his idiots wall -- and probably to encounter a Google penalty -- go ahead, drop your link. It's nofollow anyway, plus I do have built-in spam fighting and what gets past that usually gets nabbed in a few minutes to a few hours. So you got to ask yourself. Are you feeling lucky?
