Someday I’m going to do a look at traffic to my personal blog and especially show a nice illustration of the long tail in action. I also want to finally get my Cutts vs. Zawodny vs. Scoble traffic referrer chart up. All three have kindly mentioned my personal blog in the past, and it’s kind of fun to see how the traffic from each of them stacks up. But the short answer is Matt rocks. Maybe I tend to get more traffic when he mentions me because we have a more similar audience than Jeremy or Robert do. Maybe his blog just gets hammmered. I dunno. But yesterday, he mentioned briefly in his post about cleaning his giant hard drive collection about my previous post on tagging your computer cables. Boom!

The chart shows how he generated my most active day ever. Hey, my personal blog doesn’t get much traffic, so it’s not hard to make a spike. Heck, the next two or three people who spike me like that, I’ll mention you as potentially more powerful than Matt. How’s that for link bait?
Meanwhile back to Matt, coming up on 1,000 visits over the past two days from that link alone. It’s not Digg, but still, impressive.

Even the comment links from Matt’s blog gets traffic. I noticed that when I use a link in my username on popular posts that they even send me large amounts of visitors. Even on posts with 50+ comments, being number 47 down, it still brings hits.
Danny, I think you’ll find that links from you (on SEW) provide much the same kind of traffic.
Have you mentioned Daggle much there?
