Win Some, Lose Some On Sky Pricing + New Scrubs Season 5 Begins

Two letters from Sky this week. The first was to tell me that oops, they’ve failed to bill me and apparently all other Sky HD customers for any Sky services at all for July. Cool, that’s £56 saved :)

Well, Sky’s not that generous. They’ll clawback most of that next month, the letter told me. They are giving all of us a £10 credit for the mistake. Add to that the £20 credit they also gave to those who were delayed from promised Sky HD install dates, and it’s been a bonus year for making a little back from Sky.

Don’t worry — things will be getting back to normal in September. Prices are going up. That’s an extra £1 for me, taking my bill to £57 per month. No idea if that’s across the board for all packages or what. Checked Digital Spy, and so far, no news there. Last increase was the same time last year.

Meanwhile, the new season of Scrubs begins on July 13 on E4, says Digital Spy. That’s Season 5, which already aired in the US.

Thinking of dropping your link spam? Consider this. Seriously, STOP & READ. The guy who runs Google's spam fighting team? I know him pretty well. In fact, it's sort of a joke between us to see what's the latest absurd link drop I can share. So if you want your site to be a poster child on his idiots wall -- and probably to encounter a Google penalty -- go ahead, drop your link. It's nofollow anyway, plus I do have built-in spam fighting and what gets past that usually gets nabbed in a few minutes to a few hours. So you got to ask yourself. Are you feeling lucky?
